Restaurant Manager

We are excited to introduce a brand new dining concept to Vancouver’s bustling Main Street - a 40-seat restaurant with an additional 30-seat seasonal garden patio that promises not just a meal, but an unforgettable experience. Our vision combines innovative cuisine with exceptional service in a uniquely designed setting. To bring this vision to life, we are seeking a dynamic Restaurant Manager who shares our passion for creating an extraordinary guest experience.

Role Overview:

As our Restaurant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in launching and establishing our restaurant as a must-visit destination. You will oversee all restaurant operations, ensuring that each guest receives outstanding service while also achieving our efficient operational objectives. Your leadership will inspire a culture of excellence among our team and help to create an environment where creativity and innovation can flourish.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations to ensure exceptional customer experience while ensuring all restaurant procedures and policies and standards are maintained

  • Serving Customers - as a small team in an intimate dining room, this role is also customer facing. Overseeing Service while also taking a section.

  • Manage and mentor staff, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.

  • Manage budgets, control inventory, and implement cost-saving measures.

  • Foster a positive, collaborative work environment that encourages feedback and innovation from both Kitchen and Front of House.

  • Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism and resolve issues promptly.

  • Manage and Maintain the beverage program, including ordering, inventory and pre-batching.

  • Administration - logging sales, calculating tips, scheduling, inventory and overseeing time sheets

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Manager or similar role in an independently run, high-volume restaurant.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Knowledge of best practices in restaurant management and the latest industry trends.

  • Experience with inventory management, ordering, budgeting, cost control and EXCEL!

  • A commitment to providing exceptional guest service.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Weekend Brunch Server / Bartender - Front of House

We are looking for a professional weekend brunch server with exceptional experience in a fast-paced elevated dining environment to join our team. You will be comfortable waiting tables, serving all the beverages, hosting gracefully under pressure and sharing our enthusiasm for locally grown and wild ingredients with our guests.

The successful candidate will be “Hospitality” driven, exceptionally organized, team focused, charming and professional. Ideally with bartending experience and WSET Level 2+ certified.

Fine dining experience an asset. Strong respect for vegetables a must. You'll be joining a small and fun team at a Michelin recognized, award-winning and progressive vegetarian restaurant. We pride ourselves on having a collaborative, team-driven environment, and we provide opportunities for growth and development. Attitude and Ego NOT Welcome.

Must be available to consistently work weekend days ~9am-4pm. This position is for 2 days per week, with the potential to expand into evenings.
