Shira Blustein
Owner / General Manager 

Before becoming a restaurateur, Shira was playing music in punk and indie rock bands that toured extensively through Europe and North America.  The transition from music to food was a natural evolution, shifting her creative focus toward fulfilling her long-term dream of a vegetable-forward restaurant that didn't compromise in design, quality, and presentation with an ambitious bar program, Since opening, The Acorn has picked up national awards for excellence, has been featured in the New York Times, Huffington Post and was deemed one of the best vegetable-forward destinations in the world by CNN and The Daily Meal.

Robert Clarke
Head Chef

Chef Clarke began his career under the guidance of John Bishop, one of Vancouver’s most respected chefs and restaurateurs. A term at Pangaea in Toronto followed but inevitably Clarke headed back west to pursue the position of head chef at Sooke Harbour House, where sustainability and locally sourced ingredients were of utmost importance.  Chef Clarke brings the same philosophy and standards of quality to The Acorn every day, elevating Vancouver's relationship with vegetables to unseen heights. 

Brian Luptak
Chef de Cuisine

Brian Luptak spent ten years making his way across the country cooking in some of the finest hotels and resorts Canada has to offer.  Combining the structure and discipline of larger institutions with the freedom of creativity and experimentation afforded by The Acorn, Luptak has continued to raise the bar for Acorn's innovative dishes with his discerning eye for detail and presentation.

The Acorn only accepts reservations for our family table, which seats 6 - 10 people.

Parties under 6 are seated on a first-come, first-served basis.
All the members of your party must be present in order to be seated.

Reservations are available for one of two seating times:

Dinner
5:30pm or 8:00pm

Brunch:
10:00am or 12:30pm

The Acorn Artist Series shines a light on artists in Vancouver whose work we admire greatly and wish to proliferate in our own humble way.  Every month or so we make a new artist card that gets handed out to our guests at the end of their dining experience.  Our hopes are that they take it home as a memento of the Acorn but also as a foray into what is being created by some of our city's finest emerging artists.
